A 40 years old accountant’s uncomfortable and intimate diary…He is unmarried and perfectly integrated in a society which appears to have pre-defined paths, where everyone of us believes to know the result and the path of our life. In this inner world, full of meat and poetry, just dreams often lead us elsewhere, in the unexplored land of  " If only…!" and " If I had chosen another job, another woman or another city…”.
It seldom happens to recognize the moment when you are choosing one of these streets. It is a crossroads that we will never see again. For Antonio Mathis, it happens on the platform of the tram, in an ancient Turin, when he meets Serena. Nothing unusual, for now… a lot of times we fall in love with a look and we daily wait for it and the moment of that date ... but Serena…is a nun.
... She is standing straight, motionless, thin, not waiting for the tram, but waiting for me ...She is waiting I cross the road and go to the cement platform, almost near her. Waiting for the tram together, she still is standing and staring at the opposite sidewalk. I put my hands into my coat’s pockets and I am feeling under my fingers my sweaty palms ( so like they are now, while I am writing). I can not catch a word, dig an idea, I have no courage. I should do something, get closer and talk.
